January 14th, 2019

preview-2preview-3

Gage Purdy, CRC’s new Music Director and John Hazelrigg, accompanist, are ready to lead California Redwood Chorale in our new and exciting repertoire for 3 April concerts.

“Goodnight Moon” by Eric Whitacre is new, and uses the lyrics from the famous children’s book seen in the photo above. (That is CRC Bass, Jim Peterson, reading it to his great nephew 15 years ago!)

“The Luckiest” by Ben Folds is a love song of great beauty. CRC is singing VOCES8 arrangement!

“O Magnum Mysterium” by Morten Lauridsen, is a famous work by American’s “king” of choral composers.

“You Raise Me Up” was made famous by American singer, Josh Groban. Wait until you hear Conductor Gage Purdy and his sweetheart, Crystal McDougall, sing this duet with a CRC back-up!!!

“Lovely Day” by Bill Withers, who is still with us today at age 80!

These are some of the things we will sing for you.

Please save the dates and come to hear our wonderful group sing for you!
